Main Colours
36302, 36330, 36364, 36147, 36105, 36176 To achieve the best paint finish on larger or more intricate surfaces, particularly when applying semi-gloss or gloss colours, a sprayed colour can offer a superior finish over brush painting. Revell “Contacta Professional” is formulated for the permanent bonding of (non-expanded) polystyrene plastics only and is applied via its extra-fine needle applicator for pin-point joining – once dry, parts are effectively fused together! Basic tools for successfully assembling the model!! Basic accessories for successfully painting the model!!
Supplemental Colours
36108, 36109, 36191, 36199 To meet this need, Revell offer the “Spray Color” aerosol range in the 32 most commonly used brushing colours. To see if there is a “Spray Color” equivalent to the brush colour advised, substitute “34” in place of the “36” prefix for any item number. Contents: Sprue Cutter (separating larger parts), Tweezer, 2-Sided File (Coarse/Medium grit), Retractable Hobby Knife (separating smaller parts/parts clean up) Contents: 3 Quality Paintbrushes (Size 0/3/5), “Painta Clean” Brush Cleaner (14ml – suitable when using “Aqua Color”/”Email Color” paints), 2x Pipettes
Note that some Main/Supplemental colours can also be reproduced on the kit’s decal sheet.
Note that numbers quoted above are for the Revell “Aqua Color” water-based acrylic paint range. If preferred, Revell “Email Color” enamel paints can be substituted by replacing the leading “36” with a “32”.
Therefore, you should first check the kit’s Instruction Manual & decide which you wish to use.
IMPORTANT: Note however that whilst both acrylic and enamel paints can be applied to a single model separately, their formulation is not compatible, so they cannot be intermixed.
